okay, I didn’t respond a ton today, but the nyquil is kicking in so i may be back on later. i’m so sorry guys. Texas has been having crazy weather and it’s kicking my ass. D:

The Long-Awaited Date || Lucius and Narcissa

Narcissa burst out in laughter at his statement. “I know your father didn’t want that. He had always liked me the best. I remember one time he said Bellatrix was off her rocker. Andromeda was a lot like me, but she wasn’t as social as I was. It doesn’t surprise me that your mother wanted you with Bella though. In the end it wouldn’t have worked out though, because of her obvious feelings for the Dark Lord. And even though she is my sister, I couldn’t picture her with children, or being very motherly.” A chill crept up her spin at the thought of her sister with a child.

“Honestly Lucius, you could have proposed to me in the Hog’s Head and I would have said yes. But the fact that you proposed to me outdoors, where you know I love to spend a lot of time, well it just meant something to me. It made it extra special. I wouldn’t have run from you, or said know. I told you I didn’t want to get married till after I graduated, and you waited. Although I am surprised you didn’t pop the question at graduation.” She smiled remembering it all. “Our marriage and Draco’s birth were and always will be the best days of my life. Draco was our blessing, especially because I was so unsure if I would be able to have children. We tried so for so long it seemed, but we finally got our miracle.” Draco really was her pride and joy, and she didn’t know what she would do if anything happened to him, or Lucius for that matter.

Lucius laughed as his wife spoke about Bellatrix. She was half right. Though his father grew to see that the eldest Black girl was a psychopath, he often urged his son to speak to her when they were young children. He shook these thoughts from his mind and hugged Narcissa close. “I did not want to push the marriage onto you. That’s why I wanted you to enjoy your time after school.” He kissed the top of her head and rubbed his hand along her back. “Draco will always be our blessing— our angel. I am just so happy that you were able to be the mother you were so born to be. You deserve to be as happy as you possibly can be, and I would never dream of letting you go. That is why I protect you and Draco so. I can not bear to lose you.” He let a single tear fall down his cheek, quickly swiping it away and clearing his throat.

*grins and shakes his head* You can be handsome, I suppose. Though I am quite pretty, aren’t I? Where are you planning on getting chocolate for your boyfriend anyway?

Bellatrix and Lucius

Lucius had been working long hours at the Ministry of Magic, but she waited at the Malfoy Manor to get home. She didn’t want Narcissa to know what she was doing with her husband, especially because it would be putting him in danger, but the Dark Lord needed him.

She waited in the living room, sitting in a chair, quietly. When the clock struck 10, the fireplace flared up waiting for Lucius arrival, and almost immeately he came walking out of the fireplace.

“Well hello Lucius”

Lucius arrived by way of Floo Powder, stumbling only momentarily as he stepped out of the fireplace at their Manor. “Bellatrix.” He nodded in greeting. “Our Lord has called for me, I presume?” His long silvery-blonde hair was disheveled but he quickly smoothed it with his palms. “What are his orders?” He turned to his sister-in-law and grumbled softly. “We need to leave the manor before Cissa comes home.”

“Well, that’s true enough,” Hermione said, musing. “You have to do something big… something so elaborate and heartfelt that you’ll sweep her off her feet all over again. And when I say heartfelt, I mean you can’t just try to buy back her love…”

Lucius scoffed softly. “I hate all of that stuff. I was romantic once upon a time… But it just faded from me as I got older.” He thought for a moment before closing his eyes and bowing his head as he realized the real problem. “As I got busy.” He mumbled a few more words, completely unimportant words and sighed. “I got too busy for romance, and Narcissa suffered because of it. I’m still too busy for romance.”

“Well then, put down the firewhiskey. As in right now!” she said, giving him a stern look. “No matter how bad the problem is, it can be fixed. But in order to fix it, you need to stop wallowing in self-deprecation and guilt and focus on the issue at hand! Now, tell me Mr. Malfoy, what are you going to do to re-gain your wife’s trust?”

Lucius frowned, his brow furrowed. “I’ve honestly no idea. I would normally buy her flowers, take her to dinner… Things like that…” He felt confused. “These aren’t going to work this time.” He did not understand how Hermione was able to do it, but her words did make him put down the firewhiskey.
